Unlock the Benefits of Joining The Library of Things
August 2026
Imagine a library where you can borrow more than just books—a place where you can access everything from camping gear to kitchen appliances. Welcome to the Library of Things, a revolutionary concept that’s transforming communities by promoting sharing and sustainability.
Our Library of Things operates differently from others across the country. We don’t have a physical location to house items; instead, we operate as a Sharing Library. This means that if you need something for a one-time use or want to try before you buy, you simply reach out to others in the group.
Consider the recent experience of our member, Tara. She needed a rucksack for her 7-day pilgrimage along the Golden Valley Pilgrim Way. Rather than purchasing a new backpack, Tara borrowed one through our network, proving how the Library of Things can facilitate meaningful experiences without the expense of buying new items.
During the pilgrimage, Tara and other pilgrims explored historical sites and discovered local legends, such as Alfred Watkins' concept of Ley Lines. This journey not only enriched their understanding but also sparked ideas for future local pilgrimages, like The Ripley Rosary Route and Listening to the Land, which they are researching and writing.

The benefits of joining the Library of Things extend beyond cost savings. It’s about building a sustainable community, sharing resources, and nurturing personal development. Whether you're setting out on an adventure or tackling a DIY project, the Library of Things is your partner in exploration and innovation.
