How do I get involved?

Here you will find opportunities to come together to do something to support our community and reduce our impact on the planet.

Transition Crich meet every second Tuesday of the month from 7.30 pm at The Crich Comrades Club.

Come along to see what's on offer and add your voice.

Wild Flower Walk

Sunday, 16 June, 11.00 am, Crich Market Place

Join us for a two hour walk around the beautiful countryside in Crich, enjoy the views and discover more about the wild flowers in this area as we share our collective knowledge.

The walk includes a hill, but no one will get left behind and we will have plenty of stops to appreciate the flowers and views. Towards the end of our walk there will be an opportunity to stop off at Crich Stand Tea Room for refreshments.

There is parking in and around the market place. We will be meeting by the bus shelter from 10.50 am, ready to set off at 11.00am.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and if the weather is hot and sunny, don’t forget to pack some water, shades, hat and sun cream!

Crich Share, Repair & Recycle Café

Saturday, 2 March, 9.30am to 1.30 pm (growing)

Saturday, 18 May, 9.30am to 1.30pm (wellbeing)

Saturday, 14 September, 9.30am to 1.30pm (Art Share & recycling)

Saturday, 23 November, 9.30am to 1.30pm (plastic free Christmas)

Bring along your broken household items to our talented volunteers, who will attempt to fix them showing you how they do it. If they are unable to fix something they can give advice on where to take it to be fixed by a specialist or recycled.

Repairs are free of charge, but cash donations are welcome to help keep the repair shop and café running.

For 2024, we are introducing eco friendly & information stalls, a children's activity, demonstrations and talks around the following themes: growing, wellbeing, art, recycling, plastic free Christmas.

Alongside all of this activity, take some time out to relax in our café with friends and neighbours and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee and a homemade cake or savoury.
