Here you will find opportunities to come together to do something to support our community and reduce our impact on the planet.

Transition Crich meet every second Tuesday of the month from 7.30 pm at The Crich Comrades Club. 

Come along to see what's on offer and add your voice.

 

Sunflower Workshop

Thursday, 12 September, 6pm to 8pm, Crich Glebe Community Centre

Have fun exploring colour and pattern with acrylic paint and learn how to do a simple monoprint on teabag paper.

The workshop is suitable for all abilities. All materials and refreshments included.

There is no charge for the workshop but cash donations are welcome on the night to help support future events.

Meet at Crich Glebe Community Centre from 6pm to 8pm. The community centre is fully accessible. If you have any questions or needs please email transitioncrich@gmail.com

This workshop is being organised and funded by Transition Crich in collaboration with Crich Crafters, both community groups that support creative wellbeing in the Crich Area.

Art Share Crich

Saturday 14 September, 10am to 1pm, Crich Glebe Community Centre

On Saturday 14th September Art Share Crich will be holding the fourth annual Community Art Exhibition as part of the Share and Repair Café event led by Transition Crich at the Crich Glebe Community Centre

During this event there will be a designated exhibition space for members of the community to exhibit their art work and craft projects.

If you have something that you wish to share on the day please bring it along to the Glebe between 9 - 10am and there will be someone to help you place it in the exhibition. Your work will be on public display in the Community Room between 10am and 1pm. It will then be available for you to collect between 1pm and 2pm.

Crich Share, Repair & Recycle Café

Saturday, 23 November, 9.30am to 1.30pm (plastic free Christmas)

Bring along your broken household items to our talented volunteers, who will attempt to fix them showing you how they do it. If they are unable to fix something they can give advice on where to take it to be fixed by a specialist or recycled. 

Repairs are free of charge, but cash donations are welcome to help keep the repair shop and café running.

For 2024, we are introducing eco friendly & information stalls, a children's activity, demonstrations and talks around the following themes: growing, wellbeing, art, recycling, plastic free Christmas.

Alongside all of this activity, take some time out to relax in our café with friends and neighbours and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea or coffee and a homemade cake or savoury.

Community Litter Picks

Join us on our community litter picks and help keep the Crich area clean, tidy and safer for all to enjoy.

Meet outside Crich Glebe Community Centre between 10am and 12pm on the following Saturdays:

We will also meet up on Sunday, 14 July following Crich Fete on Saturday.

160 dry foods, 40 herbs & spices and 25 cleaning products. Bring your own containers to avoid plastic.
