Art Share Sunflower Workshop

September 2024

We had a fantastic time exploring colour, creativity, and pattern at our Art Share Crich workshop on 12th September. The session certainly sparked some beautiful and imaginative sunflowers, in all shapes and sizes!

Led by local artist Cheryl Porter, the group experimented with acrylic paint and learned how to create simple monoprints on teabag paper - a delicate and surprisingly effective medium. Cheryl guided participants step-by-step, encouraging them to explore texture, layering, and personal expression through the sunflower theme.

The results were stunning! Each piece was entirely unique, reflecting the individual styles and interpretations of each participant. From bold, vibrant blooms to soft, abstract impressions, the range of artworks was a joyful celebration of creativity.

These beautiful pieces were proudly displayed the following weekend at the annual Crich Community Art Share Exhibition, where they received many compliments and added a bright splash of colour to the event. Thank you to everyone who took part - we look forward to more inspiring workshops soon!
